The smaller of the two, the S60 is technically a compact sedan that packs a big punch. The base engine is a 250-horsepower turbocharged unit (T5), and has a very satisfying pull when you put your foot down. For a little more grunt, opt for the 316-horsepower engine (T6) that combines turbocharging and supercharging.
The top of the line engine for the S60 is a 400-horsepower hybrid power unit, which utilizes the gasoline-powered 316-horsepower engine of the T6 and adds electric motors for additional power and torque, as well as excellent fuel economy for a large sedan at 34 mpg.
On the inside, the Volvo S60 is among the best in its class. Connectivity is aided by a standard nine-inch display that is Apple CarPlay compatible and links to an available Harmon Kardon premium sound system.

The engine options available on the S90 are the same as in the S60, so you'll still have the same three configurations (T5, T6, and T8 hybrid), and very similar fuel economy, losing just one mpg on the highway on this larger model.
Where the S90 really begins to separate itself from its smaller counterpart is on the inside. The list of features available on this luxury model is staggering, and is sure to give even the most discerning drivers everything they are looking for.

Heated front seats are available on both the S60 and S90, however only the S90 has heated rear seats in the outer positions, so even your back seat passengers can be bathed in warm luxury.
When it comes to storage, the S90 is configurable in over five different ways, so you can combine cargo capacity with seating capacity depending on your needs. With all seats upright, this model has 13.5 cubic feet of storage space, just shy of two feet more than the S60.
